IDF thwarts attempted weapons smuggling at Israel’s western border PHOTO
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops prevented an attempt to smuggle weapons across Israel’s western border, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF press service.
"Yesterday, IDF surveillance systems detected a drone crossing the border from the west into Israeli territory in an attempt to deliver weapons. Forces from the Paran Brigade located and intercepted the drone, which was carrying three firearms.
The confiscated weapons have been handed over to security forces for further investigation,"* the statement said.

Between 16 July and 25 August alone, the Paran Brigade recorded 384 drone incursions into Israeli territory — and while many involved goods such as cigarettes and drugs, defence officials acknowledge that “at least dozens” of these carried firearms.
