India seeks to buy 114 Rafale fighter jets from France

India has prepared an official request to purchase 114 Rafale fighter jets from France, with the deal estimated to be worth around $39 billion, according to Clash Report.

It said around 90 of the aircraft are expected to be produced in India under a partnership between Dassault and Indian industry, while the remaining 24 jets would be delivered directly from France.

The official request is expected to be submitted in the coming weeks, ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to France in June.
