Indian PM hails Russia’s Putin as “friend”, reaffirms strategic ties
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to Russian President Vladimir Putin as his "friend" while expressing gratitude for the latter’s birthday greetings.
Taking to the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged President Putin’s message and conveyed appreciation for the warm wishes, Caliber.Az reports.

“Thank you, my friend, President Putin, for your phone call and warm wishes on my 75th birthday. We are committed to further strengthening our Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership,” Modi said in a post.
“India is ready to make all possible contributions towards a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict,” the Indian Prime Minister added.
