Indonesia implements temporary fuel price freeze

The Indonesian government has announced a temporary freeze on fuel prices, according to the country’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The agency and the state-owned corporation Pertamina, under the direction of President Prabowo Subianto, have agreed to coordinate their actions, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
The ministry stated that Pertamina announced it would not change fuel prices, regardless of whether they were subsidised or not.
Authorities urged citizens not to panic amid circulating reports of an imminent price increase.
