Injuries reported after airstrike on Al-Hashd al-Shaabi site in Iraq's Anbar
An airstrike has hit a base belonging to the 13th Brigade (Al-Tufuf) of Popular Mobilisation Forces in western Iraq, leaving at least three people injured, according to a security source.
Shafaq News reported on Thursday, March 26, that the strike targeted a facility in the Al-Qaim area of Anbar Province. The Popular Mobilisation Forces, also known as Al-Hashd al-Shaabi, are a paramilitary organisation linked to the Iraqi state.
The source said at least three individuals were wounded in the attack, though no further details about their condition have been released. No group has claimed responsibility for the strike so far.
The incident follows an earlier airstrike targeting a Popular Mobilisation Forces site in Kirkuk Province in northern Iraq, indicating a pattern of attacks on the group’s positions.
