Inmates set fire at Colombian police station, five die Several injured
Five people have died and eight have been injured in a riot at a police station in Colombia, as reported by Caliber.AZ, quoting the announcement of the Cundinamarca department governor, Jorge Emilio Rey Angel.
Authorities confirmed that they had hospitalised the victims.

According to them, the fire broke out on the night of September 17 to 18 after inmates set fire to mattresses. Five inmates, aged between 22 and 48, died shortly after the incident. Six others remain hospitalised in serious condition.
Investigators are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
