Investigation reveals new details in death of Brazil beauty queen PHOTO
New details have emerged about the death of Brazilian beauty queen Ana Luiza Mateus Souza, shedding light on the final hours before the incident that led to her death.
According to Need To Know, the 29-year-old was found dead beneath the windows of her home in Rio de Janeiro on April 22. Medical specialists determined that she sustained severe injuries consistent with a fall from a significant height.
Her boyfriend, Endreo Lincoln Ferreira da Cunha, was detained shortly afterwards. Investigators concluded that he had thrown her from the 13th floor. Cunha later died while in custody.

The couple had begun their relationship in the winter. It later emerged that Cunha had a criminal record, including convictions for theft, trafficking in stolen property, kidnapping, and assaulting a woman. In 2019, he was also shot by his own father in a case that was classified as self-defense.
Elizângela Mateus dos Santos, the victim’s mother, said she had spoken with her daughter by phone just minutes before the incident. According to her, Ana was crying and said she could no longer endure Cunha’s abuse. “At first everything was wonderful, but after about two months I began to notice strange things. She said that he hit her in the face, and her nose started bleeding,” Santos said. Neighbors also reported that the couple had been involved in another argument that lasted throughout the night before the incident.
Cunha reportedly told police he suffered from pathological jealousy, particularly objecting to Mateus’s activity on social media and her communication with a large number of people. However, he denied pushing her out of the window.
Ana Luiza Mateus Souza was known as a psychologist and blogger with a significant following. She had been expected to represent the Brazilian state of Bahia at the Miss Cosmo Brazil beauty pageant at the end of 2026.
