Iran allows Malaysian ships to transit Strait of Hormuz

Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that Iranian authorities have granted Malaysian vessels permission to transit through the Strait of Hormuz following diplomatic engagement with regional leaders.

Speaking on Thursday, March 26, Anwar said the development came after discussions with officials from Iran, Egypt, and Türkiye. He also expressed gratitude to Iran’s president for facilitating safe passage for Malaysian ships.
