Iran conducts 98th wave of operation targeting US, Israeli military assets
Iran’s naval and aerospace forces have carried out a new round of coordinated attacks on US and Israeli military, logistical, and industrial targets as part of the 98th wave of Operation True Promise-4, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced.
In the first phase of the operation, IRGC naval units fired a precision cruise missile at the Israeli container ship SDN7, triggering a large fire. Strategic sites in Haifa, northern and southern Tel Aviv, chemical facilities in Beersheba, and Israeli troop positions in Petah Tikva were also reportedly struck.
The operation also targeted the US LHA7 amphibious assault ship, carrying more than 5,000 sailors and marines, which was hit by Iranian artillery and forced to retreat to the southern Indian Ocean.
In a second phase, Iranian forces struck a joint UAE-Israel drone production centre and several aircraft stationed at Ali Al-Salem Air Base.
“The offensive operations of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Islamic resistance units in the region against enemy-terrorist targets continue,” the IRGC said. “Movement in the Strait of Hormuz and activity in the waters of the Persian Gulf are under the observation of IRGC naval systems, and any hostile action will meet decisive resistance from our forces. Additional information will be conveyed to the valiant people of Iran.”
