Iran: Lake Urmia in critical condition PHOTO/VIDEO

NASA has released footage of Lake Urmia [Orumiyeh located in northwestern Iran].

The southern islands of the lake united due to the complete drying up of water there, Caliber.Az reports, quoting the Telegram channel Azad Iran.

Along with this, the specified territory turned red again.

It should be noted that the lakes Van and Goycha, located in the same region as Urmia, are in normal condition.

Experts say that the critical situation with the main reservoir of South Azerbaijan [northwestern Iran] is 70 per cent the result of anthropogenic factors and poor management.
