Iran presents Washington with hardline political dilemma
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has issued a statement warning the United States of “serious consequences” if pressure on the Islamic Republic continues.
The statement claimed that the United States no longer has a choice and is facing two options — either an “impossible military operation” or a “bad deal” with Tehran. The IRGC said that under current US pressure, previous negotiating conditions have, in its view, lost relevance.
The statement also claimed that shifts in the policies of China, Russia, and Europe toward the United States are creating additional complications for Washington.
According to the Iranian military body, US President Donald Trump is allegedly forced to choose between an “unfeasible operation” and accepting terms that could be unfavorable for Washington.
