Iran repairs damaged railway bridge in under 40 hours following airstrike
A railway bridge in Iran’s Qom province, which was recently damaged by airstrikes, has been repaired and returned to service in less than 40 hours, according to Hosrow Sameri, the deputy governor of Qom.
Sameri confirmed that the seven-span railway bridge, located behind the village of Taj-Khatun, had suffered significant damage in an attack. However, the repair work was completed swiftly, allowing the bridge to resume operations in under two days, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
This incident follows a broader attack on April 7, in which Iranian civilian infrastructure, including three railway bridges, a railway line, and a road bridge, was targeted by airstrikes attributed to the United States and Israel. The rapid restoration of the railway bridge highlights the resilience of Iran’s infrastructure recovery efforts amid escalating regional tensions.
