Iran retains thousands of missiles and drones, US intelligence reveals
Iran has retained more than half of its air force assets and specialised naval vessels, NBC News reports.
The report cites US Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) Chief James Adams, who stated that Tehran still possesses thousands of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
NBC News notes that these intelligence assessments contradict statements made by US President Donald Trump and Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth, who previously claimed that Iran’s armed forces and navy had been fully destroyed.
Trump had earlier said that all 158 Iranian naval vessels had been eliminated except for a few “strike ships” that do not pose a significant threat, and that the country’s air force and leadership, including the Supreme Leader, had been completely destroyed.
