Iran’s FM Araghchi to visit China for talks framed by regional uncertainty

On May 5, Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi is set to travel to Beijing for consultations with Chinese officials amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, according to Iran’s foreign ministry.
The ministry said the visit will focus on bilateral cooperation between Tehran and Beijing, as well as discussions on regional and international developments.
During the trip, Araghchi is expected to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, covering political coordination and economic ties, alongside wider diplomatic issues linked to the evolving security situation in the region.
