Iran’s IRGC denies involvement in attack on US embassy in Riyadh
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has denied any involvement in the attack on the US Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and condemned the incident.
In a statement published on April 4, the IRGC said the attack “was undoubtedly carried out by Israel.”
“According to the Wall Street Journal, the US Embassy in Riyadh was attacked. We condemn this act and declare that it is absolutely unrelated to Iran’s armed forces. Given the strategy of the Zionist enemy in the region, this action was, without doubt, carried out by Zionists.
The target base of Iran’s armed forces had been clearly defined in advance, and necessary warnings about provocations by the Zionist regime in the region had been communicated to neighboring and Muslim countries. Countries in West Asia must remain vigilant against provocations by the American-Zionist bloc aimed at destabilising and destroying the region,” the statement said.
