Iran warns US of harsh retaliation after nuclear strikes
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning to the US, signaling a harsh response to recent US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
IRGC representatives noted that the coming retaliation will be severe enough to make Washington regret its actions, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
“The attacks on key nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan will be met with responses worthy of regret, highlighting the gravity with which Iran views the US military operation,” IRGC said.
In addition, the IRGC reaffirmed Iran’s ongoing commitment to retaliate against Israeli aggression by continuing strikes on Israeli territory, despite interference from the US.
The US launched airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities on June 22 morning. US President Donald Trump stated that a full payload of bombs was dropped on Fordow, calling it the primary target of the operation. Satellite imagery has since revealed visible damage to the entrances of the Fordow facility and to the mountain under which the site is located.
