Iran’s judiciary chief warns against support for US-Israeli airstrikes
Iran’s judiciary chief, Gholam Hosseini Mohseni Ejehei, has issued a stark warning to “those who say or do anything” in support of the US-Israeli airstrike campaign targeting the Islamic Republic, raising the prospect that such individuals could face severe penalties, including the death sentence, Associated Press reports.
Speaking on state television, Ejehei said: “Those who say or do anything in line with the will of America and the Zionist regime are on the enemy’s side and must be dealt with on revolutionary, Islamic principles and in accordance with the time of war.”
Under Iranian law, cooperating with an enemy can carry the death penalty if convicted, highlighting the judiciary’s firm stance against perceived collaboration with foreign adversaries.
