Iran’s Supreme Leader authorises memorandum with United States

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has authorised the signing of a memorandum with the United States, ISNA reports.

“I held a different opinion, but based on the commitments undertaken by the respected President, in his capacity as head of the Supreme National Security Council, on behalf of himself and other members to safeguard the rights of the Iranian people and the Resistance Front, and having received confirmation that he accepts responsibility for this, I granted my approval,” the statement said.
