Iran, Saudi Arabia consolidate rapprochement with China’s mediation
Iran and Saudi Arabia have strengthened their rapprochement under the mediation of China, following the third tripartite meeting of the committee overseeing the implementation of the Beijing Agreement.
The meeting in Tehran was attended by Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji, and China’s representative, Miao Deyu, Caliber.Az reports.
Officials welcomed continued progress in Saudi-Iranian relations, despite ongoing regional tensions and escalations.
Both Tehran and Riyadh reaffirmed their commitment to fully implementing the Beijing Agreement and expressed their intention to foster neighbourly relations through adherence to the UN Charter and international law.
The talks also addressed developments in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Syria, highlighting ongoing concerns over regional stability.
