Iran says delegation prepared for all outcomes ahead of US talks in Islamabad
The Iranian delegation is fully prepared for any outcome of upcoming talks with the United States in Islamabad, including the possibility that the negotiations may not produce results.
“The Iranian delegation is prepared for any scenario, even the possibility that the talks will not yield results,” Iran's state broadcaster IRIB said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
The talks are scheduled for after lunch later today, April 11, in Islamabad, with Pakistan acting as mediator and expressing hope for a lasting peace in the Middle East. Earlier, CNN reported that discussions are expected to take place both directly and through intermediaries.
The Iranian delegation is led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf and includes Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, National Security Council Secretary Ali Akbar Ahmadian, and Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati.
