Iran seeks swift sanctions relief in response to US proposal

Iran has demanded that U.S. sanctions on its oil exports be lifted within 30 days of any potential agreement with Washington aimed at resolving ongoing disputes between the two countries.

Citing an informed source, Tasnim said the condition was included in Tehran’s latest response to a U.S. proposal. The response was forwarded to Pakistan as part of diplomatic communications related to the negotiations.

According to the report, Iran is also seeking the unfreezing of its overseas assets and the removal of a naval blockade affecting Iranian ports.
