Iran source says Lebanon ceasefire to begin this evening

A senior Iranian political and security source has told Al Mayadeen that a ceasefire in Lebanon is expected to come into effect from the evening of April 15.

According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps press office, the truce would last for one week under an arrangement agreed between Iran and the United States, Caliber.Az reports.

“Thanks to Iran’s efforts and pressure, a ceasefire will be implemented in Lebanon from this evening. It will last for one week, during a period agreed between Iran and the United States. However, it is possible that Benjamin Netanyahu, acting as a disruptive element, will attempt to derail this agreement,” the source said.
