Iran unleashes missile wave on Israel

Dozens of ballistic missiles have been launched from Iranian territory toward Israel, triggering air raid sirens and widespread alarm across the country.

The suspected targets span a wide range of regions, including Jerusalem, Dan, Sharon, Lachish, Shfela, Yarkon, the Judean Foothills, Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley. Major cities such as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa are reportedly under direct threat, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.

The first wave of missile strikes impacted central Israel, while a second wave is currently believed to be targeting the northern part of the country. Israel’s air defense systems have been activated and are working to intercept the barrage of incoming rockets. Interceptors have been launched in several regions, and explosions have been heard across various locations as the defense systems engage.

On June 13, the military operation launched by Israel against key components of Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure has escalated to a much harsher level. The objective remains the complete elimination of the Islamic Republic’s capability to develop nuclear weapons.

According to the latest data, the Israeli Air Force has struck more than a hundred targets, deploying approximately 200 combat aircraft and over 330 precision-guided munitions, according to official figures. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) emphasises that this is a large-scale, coordinated operation targeting both military facilities and the nuclear programme infrastructure across the entire territory of Iran.
