Iran warns of firm action against threats to public security
Iran’s judiciary has warned that there will be no leniency for individuals deemed to be undermining public safety, with senior officials indicating that those responsible will face strict legal consequences.
Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei said on April 4 that anyone whose actions disrupt “the public’s psychological and physical security” would be dealt with firmly under the law, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.
He added that individuals whose conduct is judged to serve the interests of what he described as a “hostile aggressor” would face decisive enforcement measures.
The remarks suggest authorities are prepared to pursue cases involving alleged threats to national stability with particular severity.
Ejei also noted that those implicated could be prosecuted under existing legislation, including laws related to espionage and cooperation with foreign adversaries.
