Iran with nukes means conflict for Europe, Middle East, says US senator
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has warned that Iran’s possession of nuclear weapons would pose a serious threat to America’s allies in Europe and the Middle East.
According to Caliber.Az, Graham made the statement on his X account, writing: “To our allies in Europe and throughout the Middle East: If you don’t believe Iran with a nuclear weapon would eventually be your war – you have missed a lot.”
Graham noted that operations such as Midnight Hammer and Epic Fury, conducted under the administration of President Donald Trump, were aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, while previous administrations, in his view, failed to address this threat effectively.
The senator also criticised the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), calling it a mistake, and urged U.S. allies to support efforts to secure shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz.
“I would also go further and recommend you more openly assist President Trump’s efforts to end the evil that has emanated from the Iranian regime since 1979. This would give the people of Iran an opportunity to live the life that we have become accustomed to in the civilized world,” Graham added.
