Azerbaijani customs officers have revealed an unforeseen fact of violation of the country's law.
As Caliber.Az was informed in the press service of the State Customs Committee, at the İpək Yolu (Silkway) customs post of the Baku Main Customs Department of the State Customs Committee, made-in-Armenia construction goods were found among other cargo, which was not officially declared to the department's relevant authorities.
Earlier, the culprits tried to illegally import food products and alcoholic beverages produced in Armenia into Azerbaijan. This time, 24,820 containers for construction silicone products and 1,050 empty cartons intended for packaging containers for the same goods were found. The goods were found to have been shipped by a company in Iran to an individual's address in Azerbaijan.
For what purpose did they try to import these goods with Armenian labels into Azerbaijan? The Committee and the State Security Service are conducting a joint investigation into the issue.
