Iranian general warns Israel of stronger counterattacks if war resumes
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), through Iranian media, has informed Israel of its permanent readiness to resume hostilities with the IDF and pledged more powerful counterattacks in the event of a new Iran-Israel war.
Commander of the IRGC, Major General Mohammad Pakpour, who survived the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, stated that the IRGC remains in a state of full combat readiness should Tel Aviv resume missile and air strikes against Iranian targets, Caliber.Az reports.
Mohammad Pakpour was appointed head of the IRGC on the first day of the 12-day war, June 13, replacing Hossein Salami, who was killed in one of Israel’s initial strikes on Iran.
Pakpour added that the IRGC and the Iranian army have prepared plans for more powerful counterattacks against Israel if hostilities resume. The IRGC chief did not disclose details of these plans.
