Iranian leader accuses nations that impose sanctions under false pretenses PHOTO
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused nations that impose sanctions on Iran under false pretenses of being the same ones that supplied chemical weapons to the enemy of Iran.
In a post on X, he highlighted the anniversary of the chemical attack on Zardeh village in Kermanshah Province, Caliber.Az reports citing the Iranian media.

مردم ایران را تحریم میکنند، همانهایی هستند که به دشمن ایران سلاح شیمیایی میدادند. pic.twitter.com/iwXh4MRNZb
In July 1988, the Kurdish village of Zardeh in Kermanshah Province was struck by Iraqi chemical bombs, resulting in the deaths of 275 people and injuries to 1,146 others. The lingering effects of these chemical attacks continue to impact many in the region.
Western nations that have imposed sanctions on Iran over recent decades—including the United States, Germany, and France—were key supporters of Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988). These countries have been accused of supplying the Iraqi regime with chemical weapons used in the conflict.
