Iranian missile hits largest US military base in Middle East

An Iranian ballistic missile struck the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US military installation in the Middle East, but no casualties were reported, Qatari authorities said.

Qatar’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that another ballistic missile launched from Iran toward the country was successfully intercepted, CNN reports.

Al Udeid Air Base, located southwest of Doha, hosts US and allied forces and serves as a key hub for American military operations in the region.

CNN said it had reached out to the Pentagon for comment.
