Iranian MP says new proposal to US could break diplomatic deadlock
A member of Iran’s parliament's national security committee, Abbas Golroo, has stated that Tehran’s latest proposal to the United States offers a potential path out of the current diplomatic deadlock, while preserving what it describes as Iran’s core demands.
He described the proposal as “good”, saying it demonstrates that Tehran is maintaining its position on what it considers its rights while also seeking ways to advance negotiations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iran International.
“The ball is in the Americans’ court,” Golroo said, adding that it remains unclear whether Washington will return to the negotiating table.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump made it clear that Iran was eager to reach a deal but accused Tehran of shifting the terms after agreements were discussed, according to an interview with Fortune.
