Iranian parliament speaker questions US troop deployments
The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, questioned the United States’ ability to protect its forces in the region.
“How can the US, which can't even protect its own soldiers at its bases in the region and instead leaves them stashed away in hotels and parks, protect them on our soil?” he wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.
How can the US, which can't even protect its own soldiers at its bases in the region and instead leaves them stashed away in hotels and parks, protect them on our soil?

Ghalibaf’s remarks follow claims by Iranian military officials that US forces had been sheltering in civilian locations, including hotels, after strikes on military installations across the region.
The United States is reportedly sending thousands of additional troops to the Middle East, with estimates ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 soldiers, alongside Marines and sailors, as tensions continue to rise.
