An Iranian VLCC supertanker has delivered crude oil to India for the first time in seven years following a sanctions waiver issued by the United States Treasury Department.
The vessel transported two million barrels of crude oil, marking a significant development in Iran’s oil exports, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.
The tanker FELICITY delivered the cargo to India for Reliance Industries, whose refinery is located in Sikka.
According to tracking TankerTrackers' data, additional shipments totalling several million barrels are expected to arrive in the coming days.
