Iraq extends airspace closure for 72 hours

The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority has extended the closure of Iraq’s airspace for all arriving, departing, and overflying aircraft for an additional 72 hours, citing precautionary measures amid ongoing regional developments.

According to the authority, cited by Caliber.Az, the restriction will take effect from 12:00 on Saturday, March 28, 2026 (09:00 UTC) and remain in place until 12:00 on Tuesday, March 31. The ban applies to all civilian aircraft.
