Iraq is set to remain one of the leading oil producers within the OPEC+ alliance, with output projected at 4.326 million barrels per day in May 2026 under newly approved quotas.
According to figures released following a virtual meeting on April 5, Saudi Arabia will retain its position as the top producer at 10.228 million barrels per day, followed by Russia at 9.699 million barrels per day, Caliber.Az reports per Iraqi media.
Thus, Iraq ranks third, ahead of the United Arab Emirates, which is expected to produce 3.447 million barrels per day.
Other producers include Kuwait at 2.612 million barrels per day, Kazakhstan at 1.589 million barrels per day, Algeria at 983,000 barrels per day, and Oman at 821,000 barrels per day.
