Iraqi forces foil two drone incidents in Diyala and Babil photo
Iraqi security forces have prevented two separate drone-related incidents in the provinces of Diyala and Babil, according to a security source cited by Shafaq News.
In Diyala province, a drone described as “mysterious” crashed onto agricultural land in the village of Al-Ameriya, located in the northwest of the province. Explosive ordnance disposal teams later carried out a controlled detonation of the device. No casualties were reported, and the resulting material damage was minimal.

In a separate incident in Babil province, police units seized a drone that had been prepared for launch. The device was discovered in the Al-Jilawiyeen area, near the Technical Institute in the Al-Mahawil district. It was subsequently destroyed through a remote detonation, with no damage recorded.
Authorities said no suspects have been detained in connection with either incident, and investigations remain ongoing.
