Iraqi Kurdistan accuses Iran of deadly attack against its forces

Iraq's autonomous Kurdistan region has accused Iran of launching an attack against its peshmerga armed forces, following the deaths of six fighters, France 24 reports.

"Six Iranian ballistic missiles targeted them" in two attacks, the region's armed forces ministry said in a statement, adding that the incident killed six people and wounded 30 others.

It is the first deadly attack on the regional security forces since Israeli-US strikes against Iran triggered the current war.
