Iraqi militant group offers bounty for locations of US officers
The Coordination Committee of Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq has announced a reward of 150 million Iraqi dinars (approximately $115,000) for information about US military and intelligence personnel operating in the country.
The announcement was made in a statement by the group and reported by ISNA.
According to the statement, the reward will be paid for what the organisation described as “important information” that helps identify the locations of senior officers of the United States Army, as well as members of US intelligence and espionage structures operating in Iraq and across the region.
The group said the information could contribute to locating those individuals and potentially lead to their detention or neutralisation on the ground.
