IRGC claims drone strike on Israel-linked ship in Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it carried out a drone strike on a vessel it described as linked to Israel in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

According to a statement from the IRGC Navy command, cited by the Fars news agency, the targeted vessel was identified as MSC Ishika.

“A drone struck the vessel MSC Ishika, linked to the Zionist regime, in the Strait of Hormuz,” the statement said.

The IRGC further claimed that the strike caused a major fire on board the ship.
