IRGC says it struck Iranian Kurdish opposition targets in Iraq
08 June 2026 10:03
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that it carried out strikes on positions belonging to Iranian Kurdish opposition groups in Iraq’s Sulaymaniyah province.
The statement came hours after reported drone attacks on bases used by Iranian Kurdish armed formations in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, according to Iran International, as cited by Caliber.Az.
The latest strikes mark another escalation in a series of cross-border operations conducted by the IRGC.
Over the past three months, the IRGC has repeatedly hit the groups’ targets, accusing them of posing security threats and carrying out cross-border operations.
