IRGC warns of possible strikes on US tech firms
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a warning that it may target assets linked to major U.S. technology companies in the region.
In a statement released by its press office, the IRGC said that the US firms operating in the information and communications technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence sectors play a significant role in the identification and tracking of targets for what it characterised as "terrorist operations."
It added that, in response to such actions, institutions involved in these activities would henceforth be regarded as legitimate targets.
The statement included a list of 18 companies that the IRGC claims are connected to these efforts. Among those named are Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, IBM, Nvidia, JPMorgan, Tesla, General Electric, and Boeing.
