Islamic Resistance of Iraq movement strikes significant target in Israel

The Shia movement "Islamic Resistance of Iraq" has announced that it has struck a significant target near the Israeli port city of Eilat.

"The resistance forces targeted a vital facility on occupied lands near Eilat. This attack was carried out in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and in response to the mass killings perpetrated by the occupiers," the movement says, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Earlier, Al-Hadath TV channel reported that Israeli aircraft intercepted aerial targets heading toward Ramon Airport in Eilat. On September 19, pro-Iranian Shia groups operating in Iraq and Syria claimed to have struck an Israeli facility in Haifa.  

Previously, Shia fighters targeted US military bases in Syria and Iraq with rockets and drones as a show of solidarity with the Palestinians. However, they have recently intensified their attacks on Israel.
