Israel announces sweeping strike campaign in Litani River area

The Israel Defense Forces (Israel Defense Forces) announced that it has completed a special operation aimed at establishing operational control over the area of the Litani River in southern Lebanon.

According to the IDF press service, during the operation, forces identified and neutralized sites used by Hezbollah militants, including underground tunnels containing large quantities of weapons, ammunition depots, and rocket launchers.

The military said the operation targeted multiple Hezbollah facilities across the region.

In support of ground forces, the Israeli Air Force conducted strikes on more than 100 military targets in the Litani River area. The IDF stated that dozens of Hezbollah fighters were killed during the operation, both in close-range combat and through airstrikes.
