Israel appoints new Mossad deputy director, head of operations
The Israeli government has approved the appointment of a new deputy director of the Mossad, the country's foreign intelligence agency, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office on behalf of the Mossad.
Mossad Director Roman Gofman announced the appointment of an official identified only as “Aleph” to serve as Deputy Director of the Mossad and Head of its Operations Directorate. The appointment was approved by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the statement, Aleph has held a range of positions at the core of the agency’s operational activities and brings extensive expertise, experience, and institutional knowledge to the role.
