Israel approves new military action plan against Iran, Hezbollah
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have approved a new plan for military operations against Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The announcement was made by IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, during a visit to the 162nd Division stationed near Beit Lif in Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
“Yesterday, during a General Staff meeting, I approved plans for the future: we continue to assess the situation and approve operational plans both in Lebanon and in Iran,” he said.
“In a joint operation with American forces, we delivered a significant blow to the Iranian regime, undermining its defensive capabilities and weakening it. Now we must not allow it to achieve progress in its nuclear programme, in the Strait of Hormuz, or in other issues on the agenda,” the general noted, adding that the IDF is at a “very high level of readiness.”
“The Air Force aircraft are armed and ready for combat, with targets already loaded into the systems. We know how to deliver a powerful strike immediately,” Zamir emphasised.
