Israel calls Azerbaijan’s opening of embassy in Tel Aviv “historic decision”

Israel’s Foreign Ministry has stated that the opening of an embassy in Israel by Azerbaijan is a historic decision.

“Today (November 18, 2022), the Azerbaijani Parliament made a historic decision to open an Azerbaijani embassy in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv. This will be the first embassy in Israel for a Shia-majority Muslim country,” Caliber.Az reports, quoting the ministry’s statement.
