Israel chief of staff reviews Gaza situation with senior commanders PHOTO / VIDEO

On September 16, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir assessed the situation in the Gaza Strip alongside Southern Command chief Yaniv Asor, 98th Division commander Guy Levy, and other senior officers, according to the army’s press service, cited by Caliber.Az.

The officers were present in the area of responsibility of the 98th Division in Gaza City.

Earlier on September 16, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed reports that the military had entered a new phase of Operation “Gideon’s Chariots – 2” in the Gaza Strip, aimed at capturing Gaza City and eliminating militants and military infrastructure in the northern part of the city.
