'Israel' commits genocide on Gaza with backing of US: Venezuela MFA

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto on Saturday published in a social media post on X that the Israeli regime is committing genocide in the Gaza Strip with financial and political backing from the US.  

"The liberation of Auschwitz on January 27, 1945, marked the end of one of the darkest chapters in human history, Almayadeen reports.

Soviet troops arrived at the Nazi concentration and extermination camp, finding thousands of prisoners in inhumane conditions. This tragic event served as a grim reminder of the cruelty and brutality of the Holocaust, fostering a global commitment to combat hate and intolerance in all its forms," the post reads.

"Today, we must uphold that commitment by fighting against the barbarism that the Palestinian people have endured for 75 years, specifically addressing the ongoing genocide in Gaza perpetrated by Israel with the financial and political support of the United States," the post continues.

"Over 23,000 Palestinians have been killed, with thousands more missing under the rubble. Thousands of children have been killed, displaced, and terrorized. The genocide must stop," the post concludes.
