Israel conducts airstrikes in southern Lebanon following cross-border attack

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it carried out strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon on April 23, following rocket fire launched toward the Israeli border community of Shtula a day earlier.

In a statement, the IDF said the strikes targeted what it described as Hezbollah military structures in the areas of Kherbet Selem and Touline, Caliber.Az reports. 

According to the Israeli military, these sites were allegedly used to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.

The IDF added that it would continue operations against perceived threats, in line with directives from Israel’s political leadership.
