Israel denies entry to French journalist over pro-Palestinian stance
Israeli authorities have refused entry to French journalist Alice Froussard, sending her back to Paris via Ben Gurion Airport, according to Israel Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Chikli.
Chikli said on X that he was “pleased to announce” that Froussard was, at that moment, being removed from the country and placed on a flight back to France.
He added that she was accused of supporting Hamas and of arguing that the October 7 attacks should be viewed “in context”, remarks that Israeli authorities regard as unacceptable.
Drawing a comparison with previous cases involving pro-Palestinian activists, he said she had effectively been treated in the same manner as others who advocate boycotts or sanctions against Israel, adding that the country had “run out of patience” with such positions.
