Israel destroys Iranian space complex in fresh strike PHOTO
Acting on precise intelligence from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Israeli Air Force has destroyed a space complex belonging to the “Iranian terrorist regime,” which was reportedly used to develop offensive satellite capabilities and posed a threat to Israeli satellites as well as space assets of other countries, the IDF said.
According to the IDF press release, the facility was involved in military space programs, including the development of the Chamran-1 satellite, built by Iran’s Ministry of Defense electronics enterprises and launched in September 2024 by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The destruction of this complex follows last week’s strike on another space-related research facility in Tehran, operated by the Iranian Space Organization.
The statement added that, for years, the Iranian regime has invested significant resources into advancing space warfare capabilities as part of efforts to expand military power and undermine regional and international stability.
“The Israel Defense Forces will continue to act to protect its capabilities across all domains – on land, in the air, at sea, and in space,” the release concluded.
